Booking & Appointments

  • You can schedule your visit directly through our online booking system, Fresha, or by calling (207) 747-4431. If you’re unsure which service is right for you, reach out, we’re always happy to help you choose what best supports your hair and your goals.

  • For new guests or anyone seeking a significant color shift, we recommend beginning with a complimentary consultation. This gives us time to understand your hair’s history, create a plan, and ensure your vision can be achieved with care.

  • When booking, choose the service that aligns with your current length or desired transformation, whichever allows for the most time. Your stylist will always confirm details and make adjustments before beginning your service.

  • A one-on-one salon experience means your appointment time is intentionally set aside just for you. Your stylist focuses solely on your service without double-booking, creating a calm, unhurried environment centered on personalized care.

Deposits, Pricing & Payments

  • Yes, all services require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred if your appointment is rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Select non-color services may also require a deposit to reserve your time.

  • All offerings listed reflect starting prices. If adjustments are needed based on your hair’s length, density, or goals, your stylist will share any updates before beginning.

  • We accept most major credit cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, cash, and checks. Please note that when using the in-salon card reader, Discover is not accepted. Discover may be used when booking online or paying a deposit through our online system.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We understand that life changes, we simply ask for at least 48 hours’ notice when adjusting or canceling appointments. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a forfeited deposit.

  • Please call the salon as soon as possible. We’ll always do our best to accommodate you, though your service may need to be adjusted or rescheduled to honor the next guest’s time.

Redos & Adjustments

  • Your happiness is essential to us. Our redo policy allows for refinements within 7 days of your original appointment. We’ll thoughtfully assess and make adjustments to ensure you love your results.

Salon Experience

  • We work exclusively with Arete, Innersense Organic Beauty and Curlstate, three lines grounded in purity, sustainability, and performance. Every product is chosen to nurture your hair while supporting a healthier salon environment.

  • Yes. Lavender is a holistic hair salon that prioritizes low-tox, botanical-forward products and mindful practices whenever possible. Our goal is to support long-term hair health for both guests and stylists.

  • Yes. We are a Green Circle Salon partner, compost hair clippings locally through Agri-Cycle, and have diverted 686 lbs of waste since opening in 2018. Sustainability is a core value woven into our daily practices.

  • To help maintain the calm, restorative atmosphere of Lavender, we kindly ask that only those receiving a service join us during their visit.
    We understand childcare can sometimes be tricky. If your child(ren) will be accompanying you, please bring something quiet for them to enjoy, such as coloring materials, a small toy, or a device with headphones.

  • Yes, guests are welcome to enjoy coffee, tea, water, or sparkling water during their visit, along with light snacks to help make your time with us comfortable and nourishing.

Hair Types & Specialties

  • Yes. Several of our stylists specialize in curly hair cutting and shaping, with an emphasis on movement, balance, and long-term wearability.

  • Yes. We offer both gray blending and gray coverage services, tailored to your goals, whether you’re looking for soft transitions or full coverage with natural-looking results.

  • Lived-in color is a low-maintenance approach to coloring that grows out softly and seamlessly. It’s designed to enhance your natural tones while extending time between appointments.

Aftercare & Maintenance

  • Your stylist will create a personalized care ritual to maintain your color, shape, and shine at home. We believe beautiful hair is a daily act of self-care.

  • Most haircut guests return every 2-6 months, and color guests every 1-6 months, depending on service type, hair length, and goals. Your stylist will guide you toward a rhythm that best supports your lifestyle and desired look.

Wedding Services

  • Yes. Lavender offers both in-salon and travel wedding services. Our wedding offerings are thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, elevated experience from consultation through wedding day.

  • Yes. All wedding services begin with a complimentary Wedding Consultation prior to booking.

  • Item Yes. We offer in-salon bridal services for more intimate wedding mornings, as well as travel services for couples getting ready at a venue or private location.

  • Travel services require a minimum of 8 total hair or makeup services (including the bride) or a minimum of $2,050.

  • Yes. A flat travel fee of $85 applies for services provided outside of Lavender. Locations beyond 10 miles include an additional $2.00 per mile (one way).

  • Yes. Bridal trials are included with both Bride Hair & Makeup and Bride Hair Only packages and take place in-salon.

  • Bridal trials are typically scheduled 2–4 months before your wedding date.

  • A 50% minimum contract fee is required to reserve your wedding date. Your date is officially secured once the contract is signed and payment is received.

  • Touch-up services may be available upon request and are quoted separately based on timing and location.

  • Your consultation is designed to help determine the best services for your vision, timeline, and wedding day needs.
